Split personality
With a million-dollar view from a deck in disrepair this stunning cabin contradicts itself and I feel at the price point there could be improvements.
The master bath was remarkable with a tub drain and ceiling fan that needed fixed. The upstairs bathrooms were incredible and the bedrooms a dream although the floors could use a good vacuum and a balcony door jam was filled with debris. For all the lovely throw pillows I would rather have had more bed pillows. The kitchen was wonderful with all the amenities but some pots and pans were dirty and some simply needed replaced. The fireplace was wonderful with plenty of dry wood available and I cannot say enough about the incredible view. But the hot tub was less than desirable with no chemicals in the dispenser and the composite decking had nails popping up in places near the tub, rather than being properly screwed down. To be fair the maintenance man was great and help was just a phone call away. But when time is precious and limited you want everything as close to perfect as possible. Along with numerous unmentioned inconveniences, this cabin was well stocked, beautifully decorated and with a little attention and love could be perfect.

We had a wonderful time at Osito Lodge. The property was perfect for our two families. We explored the Smokies, hiked, fished, and did a lot of relaxing at the lodge. There was plenty of room for us to spread out, we enjoyed the deck and the hot tub. The kitchen was very well stocked and we ate in almost every night. Thanks to SMR and the owners for a wonderful stay!
