Welcome to Gold Rain Retreat, a newly built custom luxury post-and-beam mountain home located in the gated Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle's Nest community in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Perched at approximately 4,400 feet, the home offers long-range mountain views and a beautiful overlook of Lake Junaluska. With 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and space to comfortably sleep 12 guests, Gold Rain Retreat is designed for families, friends, and mountain getaways.
Enjoy cool summer temperatures high in the Smoky Mountains, along with the comfort of a brand-new luxury home, thoughtfully designed gathering spaces, modern amenities, and easy access to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Junaluska, Cataloochee, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
The home sits in the exclusive Eagle's Nest section of Smoky Mountain Retreat — a premier 1,000-acre gated sanctuary and luxury community ranked one of "America's 10 Best Log Home Communities" by Log Home Living Magazine.
THE SPACE
Gold Rain Retreat offers the warmth and character of a true mountain home with the comfort and convenience of new construction. The timber-frame design, mountain views, outdoor living areas, and spacious layout make it ideal for larger groups while still feeling cozy enough for a quiet mountain escape.
The main level offers true single-level living, including a king primary suite with a stepless walk-in shower. Guests can gather in the main living area by the indoor gas fireplace, take in the mountain views, relax on the porch swing, or cook together in the fully equipped kitchen.
The lower level includes a junior king suite, a queen guest room, and a bunk room with queen-over-queen and twin-over-twin bunks — giving families and groups plenty of room to spread out. This level also features the Gold Rain Arcade room with arcade games and a shuffleboard table for hours of entertainment.
Additional comforts include TVs in all bedrooms with YouTube TV access, ceiling fans, professionally installed 1 Gig fiber Wi-Fi, a propane tankless water heater for constant hot water, an outdoor grill with direct propane connection, a hot tub, an outdoor wood-burning fireplace, and an EV charger in the garage.
The private 1,000-acre community offers paved roads, security, cascading streams, a picnic area, a playground, a gazebo, and a hiking trail to a waterfall.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to the entire home. Locked owners' closets are not available to guests.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- Standard Rate: $500 nightly (4-night minimum)
- Christmas and New Year's each require a 6-night minimum stay and are treated as separate stays. No check-out on Christmas Day.
- One-time hot tub cleaning fee: $100
- Fees and Taxes: 11% tax, $340 cleaning fee, $100 Hot tub fee, $65 reservation fee (plus tax), and a $50 required damage protection fee.
- Optional: 6.5% Trip Insurance.
- One exterior security camera is located on the property.
- No pets allowed
- Motorcycles, slingshots, trailers, and RVs are not permitted within the subdivision
